Helen Ramsey is a Family and Consumer Science teacher and department coordinator.  She graduated May 1988 from Kansas State University with a bachelors in home economics education and has since received a masters from KSU in secondary education in December 1996.  Mrs. Ramsey has been at Highland Park High School for 19 years.  The classes she teaches include consumer skills, textile and apparel, interior design and fashion merchandising.  The Ramseys live in Carbondale.  Her husband, Delbert, works for KDOT.  They have two children, Devin and Denver, that attend school at Santa Fe Trail High School.  Mrs. Ramsey enjoys following her children in their many activities, quilting, sewing, crafting, cooking, gardening and getting away from the busy life by going camping and boating.
