Mr. Gray joined the staff at HPHS in 2009. Previously, he had been the Dean of Students at Eisenhower MIddle School. He has also taught social studies at Hayden and Washburn Rural High schools. He is a proud graduate of Pittsburg State University. He and his wife have three daughters. Mr. Gray officiates wrestling when he is not working at HPHS.

Jackie VanPetten works with junior and senior students with last names L-Z.  Mrs. VanPetten graduated from Kansas State University with BS in Journalism and Physical Education.  She earned her masters degree from Emporia State University in Counselor Education.  She has worked at Highland Park High School since 1999.  She lives near Meriden with her husband Jeff.  She has two children, Jolie and Jarek.  She spends her weekends hauling her kids to horse events and competes in barrel racing and pole bending when she can.
