**Successful completion of first semester PE Activities is required of all freshmen before all other PE classes may be taken.
5912 - HEALTH CAREERS (S)
This course will explore some of the more than 200 careers in the area of health or related fields by use of research, discussions, films, speakers and field trips. Students also organize health projects. During this semester, the student will learn Medical Terminology which will assist the students as they enter the Health careers 2 & 3 classes.
6433 – TEAM SPORTS (S)
Prerequisite: Physical Education Activities

This is a co-ed, elective course for students in grades 11 – 12.  This course is designed to give students an understanding of major team sports as well as stressing conditioning and team participation.   Sports included in the course are football, softball, volleyball, volley tennis, matt ball, soccer, and basketball. The uniform policy requires all students to wear shorts, warm-up pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes.

6437 – SENIOR LEADER (Y)
Advanced leadership course for senior students in physical education; students will assist PE Activities teacher in officiating, care of equipment, roll taking, leading exercises, and locker room supervision.  The uniform policy applies to this class.
6443 – AEROBIC CONDITIONING (S)
Prerequisite: Physical Education Activities
Grades 11th and 12th
An elective, co-ed activities class with an emphasis on physical conditioning. Activities include training in pulse and heart rates, body fat composition, proper nutrition and diet, proper warm-ups and cool downs, polymeric training, step aerobics, jazzercise, care and use of equipment (bikes, hand weights, rowers, mini-tramps, wall rowers, treadmills), power walking, jogging and kick boxing.  The uniform policy requires all students to wear shorts, warm-up pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes.
6447 - WEIGHT TRAINING (S)
Prerequisite: Physical education Activities, Folder Needed
A co-ed, strength conditioning course using free weights. An emphasis is on flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning. The uniform policy requires all students to wear shorts, warm-up pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes.
6512 – PHYSICAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES AND HEALTH (Y)
This course is designed to provide adolescents with knowledge and skills needed to engage in a physically active and healthy lifestyle throughout life.  Three areas of focus in the course are 1) health-related fitness, 2) lifetime physical activity, and 3) health/wellness concepts and skills.  The curriculum consists of four, three-week segments for each area.  Students receive three weeks of instruction in each of the three areas every nine weeks. The uniform policy requires all students to wear shorts, warm-up pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes.
6515 – LIFETIME SPORTS (S)
Prerequisite: Physical Education Activities
Approximately $20 An elective, co-ed class emphasizing lifetime sports and leisure activities.  Activities include archery, pickle ball, tennis, badminton, volley tennis, volleyball, table tennis, racquetball, handball, bowling, softball, golf, croquet, horseshoes, shuffleboard, skating, Wally ball and pool.  Some activities take place away from the building. The uniform policy requires all students to wear shorts, warm-up pants, T-shirt and tennis shoes. Juniors and senior are only eligible to provide transportation and a parent signed card.
6463 – PRECISION DANCE (Y)
Students participate in precision drills and dances.  Performances at home football and basketball games are required.  Auditions are held in April.  Each student must purchase a uniform, gloves and shoes.
